AEI offers employment assessment, training and placement programs for individuals with Developmental Disabilites through two locations:

The North Attelboro facility serves individuals referred by the Department of Mental Retardation (DMR), Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) and Special Education Departments (SPED) of local high schools. The Wrentham facility currently serves individuals referred exclusively by DMR.
Each facility offers in-house assessment and training, typically on work subcontracted through local businesses, but also uses “situational assessment” sites in the facilities of local employers. Job Placement with local employers matches the skills and career goals of trainees with available positions. Placements may occur either directly or with staff transitional support at the employer work site, to assist individuals in adjusting to their new jobs. At all times, when an individual has been placed by AEI, staff are available to employers or employees to address issues arising in the workplace.
