Apprentice Direct Care Professional
Job Description: An applicant must demonstrate an interest in Human Service, Health Care, and Child Care careers. Each apprentice will receive supervision and guidance from the Urban Youth Collaborative (UYC) Program Advisor and will be assigned to a Direct Care Staff Mentor. This Mentor will model appropriate work place behavior, best practices when interacting with program participants, and initiative and responsibility to their duties. Each apprentice will receive coaching, direction and support on a daily basis by their assigned Direct Care Mentor.
About Us: Attleboro Enterprises, Inc. (AEI) is a non-profit human service organization supporting adults with cognitive, intellectual and physical challenges. We support our program participants by providing Residential, Day Habilitation services, Community-Based Day Services, and Employment Services.
Job Duties of a Direct Care Professional: Depending on the program, most job duties consists of:
Encouraging each program participant’s independence.
Community involvement based upon each program participant’s preferences and interests.
Assist in creating a support network with each program participant that will enhance their ability to attain their personal goals.
Promote inclusion and value in the community.

Compensation, Hours and Duration of Apprenticeship:
$19.00 per hour
